Yellow Birch
The density of Yellow Birch wood is what makes it so special. Birch has a unique quality in that it combines hardness and density with superior weight control. This allows for a superior balance point with superlative weight control. It is very well suited for baseball bats due to the nature in which it grows and develops. The Yellow Birch species has a beautiful color with a close, uniform grain pattern similar to Sugar Maple. The wood is harvested from Quebec and the Northeastern part of the United States where Birch grows. Yellow Birch is rapidly making it's way into the professional market. M^POWERED BASEBALL has been a pioneer with this wood and totally committed to providing premium birch bats to the wood bat market.

Northern White Ash
M^POWERED NORTHER WHITE ASH is white and has straight grain. Our grain is straight and typically ranges from 7 to 16 grain lines. THE most important grain feature in ASH is that is STRAIGHT. Store bought ash bats typically have 40+ grain lines and often have crooked grains. This will insure early breakage. You will always get pro grade ash at M^POWERED. Our ash makes the perfectly balanced game bat. PRO QUALITY FOR SURE.

Bamboo
M^Powered bamboo bats are made from the hardest wood/plant material on earth. Bamboo is used for scaffolding in China and many other Asian countries in the construction of the world's tallest and most modern skyscrapers. The reason bamboo is so strong is its tensile strength. The Bamboo plant is harvested and then machined so the choice pieces can be used for the construction of your baseball bat. The bamboo is pieced like a parquet floor and put under 2000 pounds of pressure. After drying it is lathed into a 271 model bat, and sanded until the finished product is smooth as marble. The bats are then sprayed with 3 layers of environmentally approved paint. M^Powered always sprays its bats and never dips them. Spraying allows for a fine finish not always found when using the dip process. After the spraying process is finished the M^Powered watermark logo and artwork are applied. After a second drying step M^Powered sprays 2 clear coat applications for a professional finish and the watermark art is sealed. M^Powered pays very special attention to detail.

American Hickory
The True Hickory species include Shagbark (Carya Ovats), Pignut (Carya Glabra), Shellbark (Carya Laciniosa), and Mockernut (Carya Tomentosa). Hickory is an old choice in baseball woods, commonly used until the 1920's. The heartwood of Hickory is reddish in color, while the sapwood is nearly white.
Hickory exceeds the qualities of White Ash, Maple, and Yellow Birch in regard to strength, hardness, stiffness, and high resistance to shock. Its main disadvantage is the heavy weight. The wood has a fine, uniform texture and generally straight grained. Hickory turns well and is suitable for our high quality finishes.
Our billets are cut from old growth wood and and contain a mix of heartwood and sap wood. The cants are kiln dried to 6%-8% moisture content before being dowelled into high quality billets. Hickory will make the most durable bat which is appealing the the Vintage Base Ball player and also to those big hitters who want a bat that performs at a high level.

Heavy Training Bats
Maple is a very heavy and dense wood. A percentage of the billets(round or square dowel used to turn pro bats) are VERY VERY HEAVY. We make these heavy billets into PREMIUM on deck and training bats. Typically the weigh between 38 and 52 ounces once they are turned. We offer them raw and black, and are available at most times. We sell them fast because it is a better weight conditioner and training tool because it is a baseball bat, JUST SUPER HEAVY. Todd Helton of the Colorado Rockies uses our M^POWERED HEAVY TRAINING BAT along with many other Major and Minor League players. GET YOURS HERE!
